Blurb of the book:

The Anglo-Zulu War of 1879 is one of the most famous conflicts in British military history. Much has been written about the start of the war – the British disaster at Isandlwana and the brave defence of Rorke’s Drift, but what of the rest of the conflict? In this concise history, Christian Parkinson of The Redcoat History Podcast explores all the main events and battles. This is a book for the military history geek – the reader who wants to stand in line with the Redcoats, feel the sun on their face and hear the approaching enemy.

  1. Wow awesome site, with some detailed research and information. Love the Anglo – Zulu war material. As an arm chair historian (my disciplines being the American Civil War, Roman Empire – lived and studied 2 1/2 years in Italy, and the Anglo – Boer War and Anglo Zulu War – lived and worked in South Africa for over 6 years). Love your style and presentation. You make it all real. I will be following and will read all your articles and essays.
